PRIVACY POLICY

Edutechnoz.com (“Edutechnoz”, “our”, “us” or “we”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all individuals who use our website (the “Site”).  Our goal is to provide an Internet experience that delivers the information, resources, and services that are most relevant and helpful to you (“you”, “your” “User”). In order to achieve this goal, from time to time we may collect information during your visits. This Privacy Policy is designed to help you learn more about the personal information we collect, who we might share it with, and how we protect it.
We ensure that our Privacy Policy and our information practices adhere to the United States Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, Canadian federal and provincial privacy legislation and other applicable data privacy laws and all other applicable legislation.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Parents must register their child by first submitting the parent’s e-mail and password to register for the free service.  After the parent is registered, the parent adds the child to their account.  In order to add the child to the account, they need to provide the child’s name and date of birth.  Later the parent can voluntarily add the child’s e-mail address and child’s password.

If a school has signed the child up, then we will collect the school name, class, grade, teacher in addition to the child’s name, date of birth, child’s e-mail address, child’s password, and a parent’s e-mail address. 
Parents must also register their child by first submitting the parent’s e-mail and password to register in order to acquire a subscription on the Site for their child or purchases goods or services from the Site, we may collect additional personally identifiable information from the registrant’s parent.  The types of personally identifiable information that may be collected may include the parent’s full name, e-mail address, and credit card (or other payment method) billing information including mailing address.  

We may also request a user name and e-mail address when a user submits a form through the “Contact Us” portion of the Site so that we may respond to the inquiry.  We collect the e-mail address for the sole purpose of responding directly on a one-time basis to a specific inquiry.
For some of our Site activities, such as polls, surveys, games or contests, we may ask users to provide information that is not personally identifiable, such as the country of residence.  We also enable users to chat online through our Site’s message board, but we take measures so that users cannot communicate personal information through the message board.  These measures include filters and live moderation.  Nonetheless, if you use the message board on the Site and disclose personally identifiable information, you should be aware that such information could be read, collected or used by others. 

We record and save information about you from our web server logs such as your Internet [Protocol] (IP) address, the time day you visited and your browser type, types of games played on the site and what games were played. This information is used to verify our records and to provide better services to you.
In order to offer and provide you with personalized services, Edutechnoz may use "cookies" to store and help track your information. A cookie is a piece of data that identifies you as a unique user. Edutechnoz will not disclose its cookies to third parties except as required by a valid legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, or court order.

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Edutechnoz uses personal information to facilitate the services provided on the Site.  This includes, but is not limited to tracking usage and ensuring that users are following the Site’s Terms and Conditions.  In addition we may use personal information to send out newsletters, to provide notifications to parents regarding the site, send e-mails to users that may be of interest to users.  We also may use information in the aggregate to analyze site usage, as well as to offer products, programs or services.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Edutechnoz does not sell your personal information.  
Edutechnoz will not disclose your personal information to third parties except to Edutechnoz’s affiliates, service providers (service providers that provide services for us, such as sending email on our behalf or processing payments), both of whom are bound by law or contract to protect the personal information and are only allowed to use the personal information in accordance with the terms of our service agreements with them.

COMPLIANCE WITH LEGAL PROCESS
We may disclose personal information if we are required to do so by law or we in good faith believe that such action is necessary to: (1) comply with the law or with legal process; (2) protect and defend our rights and property; (3) protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our web sites; or (4) protect the personal safety or property of our users or the public (among other things, this means that if you provide false information or attempt to pose as someone else, information about you may be disclosed as part of any investigation into your actions).

FINANCIAL INFORMATION
If a child registrant wants to acquire a subscription, the parent’s full name, e-mail address, credit card billing information including mailing address will be required at the time of purchase.  That information is not stored by Edutechnoz, and instead, is stored by Paypal, our payments processing vendor for the purpose of processing payments made to Edutechnoz and for fraud prevention purposes.  Please see the applicable privacy policy on  the Paypal Site.

CONTENT SUBMITTED OR MADE AVAILABLE FOR INCLUSION ON THE SERVICE
With respect to content you submit or make available for inclusion on publicly accessible areas of the Site, this information will be made public on the Internet. "Publicly Accessible" areas of the Site are those areas of the Edutechnoz network of properties that are intended by Edutechnoz to be available to the general public. By way of example, Publicly Accessible areas of the Site include but are not limited to the Site’s Message Boards, and Blogs.

Edutechnoz encourages you to review the privacy statements of Web sites you choose to visit from Edutechnoz so that you can understand how those Web sites collect, use and share your information. Edutechnoz is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on Web sites outside of the Edutechnoz site.

While Edutechnoz is committed to protecting your personal information, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of any passwords you set up and/or any account information.

ACCESS TO INFORMATION, AND OBJECTION TO INFORMATION COLLECTION AND RETENTION
Please contact us if you would like access to the privacy information that we have collected online from your or your child, correct factual errors in such information, requests to have this information deleted or request that we no longer collect or maintain such information.  The deletion of data may lead to a termination of the Site account.
Please be sure to include your e-mail address and a telephone number where we can reach you.  To protect you and your child’s privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to help verify your identity before granting you access to the personal information that we collect and maintain about you or your child.
